Take this as a warning: antibiotics should be completed to the last tablet or drop. This is because it will facilitate the complete recovery of the body and rid off all the bacteria in the body. It also boosts the immune system such that next time there is an infection there will be limited level of severity. Furthermore, it is wise to complete medication so as not to nurture a new resistant variety.

The mixture is then put into warm water and the whole concoction gargled. It makes a nasty distasteful drink but will eventually help in clearing the throat infection. A worst case of recurring strep can occur after a week or two. There have been reported cases of permanently infected tonsils which are untreatable. When this happens, then other solutions should be sought; for example, removal of tonsils. Tonsil extraction is often resulted to prevent recurring strep which infects the tonsils.

Whatever the case, recurring strep throat is caused by the normal bacteria, therefore complete medical check up should be done to determine body defects that result in lack of immunity.
