Recurring strep throat is a case when the host is prone to strep infections.
Strep throat infections are quite problematic; worse nightmare is
when the infection doesn't seem to die away. This is what results in
recurring strep throat such that an individual experiences frequent
attack of the bacterium. According to some research done in the
previous years, there are increasing numbers of patients who
experience recurring strep throat. In most cases chronic strep throat
infection is brought about by the host's activity and environment.
The following are some predisposing factors that cause recurring
strep throat infection:
Germs and bacteria: The bacteria are agents that exist in the air
and contaminated belongings. This will mean that even after successful
cure, the bacterium will still live in the household. This is one of
the leading causes of recurrence of strep throat; due to contaminated
vessels and beddings, the host is constantly exposed to the
microbes. If you note that there is a cycle of infection within your
family, then it is about time to disinfect the house and rid the
bacteria completely.
Incomplete antibiotic administration: There is a habit popular
among patients when they experience relief. Immediately they feel
relieve of pain, antibiotic use is stopped. Take this as a warning:
antibiotics should be completed to the last tablet or drop. This is
because it will facilitate the complete recovery of the body and rid
off all the bacteria in the body. It also boosts the immune system
such that next time there is an infection there will be limited level
of severity. Furthermore, it is wise to complete medication so as not
to nurture a new resistant variety.
There are numerous methods other than hygiene to prevent recurring
strep throat. This is by use of handy cooking ingredients. Salt, lemon
and ginger are some of the best home remedies needed to rid off strep
throat. Just blend some ginger and small pieces of lemon. The mixture
is then put into warm water and the whole concoction gargled. It
makes a nasty distasteful drink but will eventually help in clearing
the throat infection. A worst case of recurring strep can occur after
a week or two. There have been reported cases of permanently infected
tonsils which are untreatable. When this happens, then other solutions
should be sought; for example, removal of tonsils. Tonsil extraction
is often resulted to prevent recurring strep which infects the
tonsils.
Whatever the case, recurring strep throat is caused by the normal
bacteria, therefore complete medical check up should be done to
determine body defects that result in lack of immunity.
